Urgent Appeal from Bushfire Survivors

This was posted on one of the yahoo groups I belong to, and I wanted to pass it on.

There is a desperate need for the public to donate clothes suitable to wear to funerals so the survivors of the bushfires can farewell their family & friends with respect, dignity & ceremony. All shapes, sizes & ages are required.

If you put funeral appropriate clothes in a marked bag & take them to your local Salvation Army or Vinnies they will reach those in need. Update: Since posting this I have found out that this is only for Victorian residents. Please contact the Salvos on 13 72 58, to make sure they are taking these particular donations in your state/area.

It's hard to imagine what the survivors must be going through, this is a very simple thing that we can do to help, and I'm sure it would mean a lot to them.
