It was love at first sight when I came across the glorious work of British mixed media textile artist Karen Nicol. To die for, huh? No wonder Karen has a list of clients that include (amongst many others) Anthropologie, Marc Jacobs, Chloe, Vera Wang, John Rocha, Julien Macdonald, Michiko Koshino, Givenchy, Chanel couture, Mulberry, Harvey Nicholls, Harrods, Libertys, and Mario Testino.

I loved the song Falling Slowly in the wonderful movie Once, but I love this version by elenowen even more. I downloaded it onto my iPhone and I can't stop listening to it. Over and over.
Monique Boseley and Charles O'Donovan are the designers behind new Adelaide company Senkki. Senkki creates beautiful well-priced bespoke furniture with a fab mid-century aesthetic. Laminates and timber veneers can be customised, and some pieces can be changed up by reversing the sliding doors. Love!

Last month I promised some more posts about affordable DIY art (see my first instalment here). If you saw my house on The Design Files, you would have noticed this idea. In my studio I have a big empty wall that needed some art. I wanted to do something low budget, so I was inspired to create a temporary collage with the paint chips that Roxy and I seem to gather each time we visit our local Bunnings.
