Evie of Handmade Romance made these fun and fabulous circus themed softies for Craft Victoria's enCOUNTER. The troupe includes Ringmaster Vladimir, Maisie and Daisie the conjoined twins, and Bruce the Monkey. They will be on display 24/7 in Craft Victoria's window until early March, and are available for purchase too. As always I love seeing the works in progress images - Evie has documented the making of her creations on her blog.

Seen and loved :: Stamp rugs
Often when I'm reading comments I'll click through to check out the commenter's blog. When I followed the link to Barb's blog the other day I found these fantastic rugs which are based on iconic Royal Mail stamps. Stamp Rugs produce these beauties in Nepal from New Zealand wool. Seeing them made me wonder why anyone hasn't thought of this before. I love the simple graphic nature and the strong colour palette. And the scalloped edges... swoon!

A new product range for the red thread?
I'm so excited to have finally had some of my designs laser cut from timber. I've been wanting to do it for the longest time. When I was pondering what wedding gift to give to the couple who has everything I decided to create a monogram of their initials and have it cut out of timber.
I love my deer the most - he's about 36 cm (14 inches) tall and I think he'd make a lovely decoration in a nursery... or in my office!
What do you think? Last year I was aiming to reduce the number of different products I sell and focus on my fabric design and sewing patterns and kits... and now I'm not so sure. Of course now my head is exploding with all the new products I want to make!
Edit: Thanks for your comments and lots of emails. OK, I'll do it! It will be a few weeks before I have stock made... there'll be a deer and a fox (anonymous I have a page of fox sketches I've been working on already!), and perhaps one more critter. If you have any requests let me know and I'll see what I come up with. But I'm over owls, so please don't ask ;)

Learn how to Gocco print
All of these lovely creations - available on Etsy - were printed using Gocco printers.
If you'd like to have a go at Gocco printing the Sydney Brown Owls are having a Gooco workshop on Sunday 27th February in Lane Cove. It should be lots of fun and you'll be able to print your own design. You can find out more and RSVP here. You don't have to be a Brown Owls member to go along, but if you're a crafty gal in the Sydney area you should join us - the meetings are fun. On the occasions that I manage to make it to a get together I really enjoy sitting around with a bunch of like-minded women creating, chatting, getting help with projects and learning new things. You might love it too!
