{KID} Independent is a brand new Australian blog supporting indie designers and makers, which is put together by a group of work-at-home-mums, aunties, nans and the occasional dad. It's "a daily dose of indie style for kids".
We’re basically a bunch of arty types with a love of all things handmade, vintage, sustainable, limited edition and independent. We crave products that are born from the hands of an artist, the heart of a loving mother, the mind of a talented designer, or the soul of an interesting character…

I was delighted to be asked to be their first 'designer interview' subject. The interview went live today and you can read it here.
{KID} Independent is the new kid on the block but it's already bursting with energy and potential. Go check it out!

okt-ober dee
One of the many highlights for me at Life Instyle was discovering the beautiful original jewellery and bags by Lauren Ferry of okt-ober dee.
I'm loving these timber and embroidered brooches - especially 'pardon'. How sweet are they?! Okt-ober dee bags, called boxie and crate, are made from vintage fabrics and embroidered leather. I love the boxie clutch. So gorgeous!

KatyJane
I had the pleasure of having a stand next to the lovely Jane of KatyJane at Magnolia Square in Melbourne last year, and we were opposite each other at First Instyle last week. Katy was also in Sydney for First Instyle so we got to hang out over the 4 days. As a result I have come to be quite familiar with Jane and Katy's stationery!
I love the use of simple shapes and vibrant colour and of course the retro styling which is used in the KatyJane range of products.

KatyJane do both personalised and fill-in invitations as well as tags, badges, thank you cards, and more. Definitely worth a look if you have a birthday celebration coming up for a little one.

Watching the time
How cool is this desktop clock! There's a photo for every minute of the day. I love it, but it's a bit distracting because I'm always glancing at it to check out the clever images.

You can download it at Blu Dot for both Mac and Windows.
Found via Inside Out.
