Are you having any trouble commenting here? I've had a couple of emails from people saying they can't leave a comment. Frustratingly I am having the same issue when trying to comment on other blogs I read which are powered by Blogger. I can't comment as me, anonymous, open id, or any other option.
I've also noticed that the profile view counter is stuck and doesn't increase on my blog or some of the others I'm visiting.
Any ideas? Blogger Help has been no help.
If you have any ideas and can't leave a comment, please send me an email: lisa [at] the red thread [dot] com [dot] au
Sooo frustrating!

Monday BlogDay: Ecco*Eco

Environmental artist Abigail Doan [see my previous post today about her art] shares her wonderful sustainable style finds on her blog Ecco*Eco. It's one of my favourite blogs because not only are the posts about sustainable living, but the images are a visual feast. Abigail has also created a great sidebar list of links to stylish eco-friendly fashion, jewellery and homewares.

Inspiration: Abigail Doan
Abigail Doan is a mixed media, fiber and environmental artist who lives and works in both New York City and Italy [lucky her!].
Abigail "creates tactile maps, floating topographies, and in situ souvenirs that highlight the delicate nature of our environs via geomorphic agency and environmental tinkering".

Abigail is a busy woman. She is a regular contributor to Supernaturale, Art & Style Editor for the wonderful Inhabitat, and a featured artist on Green Museum. And she also authors two blogs - see the links below. On top of all that she is a mother of twins! Makes me need a nap just thinking about it.
If there was any way I could swing it I would be off to Finland for the International fiber exhibition called 'It Is Beautiful Here' which Abigail is a part of. It will be on view throughout the summer of 2009.
If you happen to be in Albuquerque, New Mexico, an interesting enviro-book exhibition featuring Abigail's work is currently showing at THE LAND gallery.
Here is a great write up about Abigail and her art. And you can visit her blog for more info and images of her projects. Don't miss Abigail's other fabulous blog Ecco*Eco, which I wrote about in my Monday Blogday post today.

New Vintage Storybook Tiles on Their Way

I've had a busy weekend making eggs and nests and a new range of Vintage Storybook Tiles. I've been madly painting and sanding my the timber pieces for the tiles and Gocco printing my newly created stamp on the back of them. I'm now using thicker timber pieces with a predrilled hanging device, and there'll be three sizes of tiles to choose from.
I've still got a lot of work to do before they are complete, but I thought I'd show you the stamp I made and the colours I've been working with. I'm hoping to have them completed in the next week or two.... wishful thinking perhaps?!
